Disabling Keyboard Vibration
« on: November 05, 2013, 11:03:11 AM »
Hi all,

I'm trying to find a way to turn off keyboard vibration.  I found this link... http://www.techiecorner.com/1705/how-to-disable-keyboard-vibration-in-android/ - which basically describes what I had already done, however having followed the instructions it still doesn't deactivate it.

Has anyone else got any other suggestions how I can resolve this?

[SOLVED]

I found the setting by holding down the comma whilst in the keyboard which brought up an option for Google Keyboard Settings.  All I then had to do was untick vibrate on keypress.

Must admit, I'm surprised that this option was hidden away and not just in the standard settings menu, but hey ho, problem solved :)

Here is another way to get to the keyboard settings.

Settings > Personal(heading) > Language & input > Keyboard & input methods > Google Keyboard (apparently the default active keyboard in USA).

Select the slider (settings) to the right of the active keyboard.

Remove checkmark from "Vibrate on keypress".
