Title: Blocking phone calls!
Post by: absteve on November 08, 2013, 08:46:09 AM
Hey guys,

Hope you are all enjoying your new phones!!

I've worked out how to do most things but I'm having trouble finding a way to automatically block calls from certain numbers.  My old DHD had an option and most dialler apps can, how do I do this on my nexus?  If not can I disable the stock phone and just use a downloaded dialler app?

Cheers!

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this with stock Android. You could install a 3rd part application from the Play store or here' a work around.

Create a contact called "Blocked" and assign any numbers you wish to block now or in the future. Now set that contact to go directly to voicemail.

To block incoming calls from a number, follow these steps:

From any home screen, tap the all apps icon
    Tap people.
Tap the name of the contact you want to block.
    Tap the menu icon
Tap to select All calls to voicemail.
Note: A blue check mark will appear next to All calls to voicemail.
